Since October 2016, staff from the University of Southern Queensland’s Library Research Support team and the Office of Research have embarked on a collaboration resulting in the development and provision of a holistic range of services that support research and facilitate research impact.
The aim of this poster is to extend the discussion from the Lightning Session “It takes two to Tango” by expanding on “the who, the how, and the what” aspects. Examples of successful project collaborations will be presented. These examples of best practice collaboration may be applicable to other Australian universities and research institutions looking to build on the strengths of similar research support teams to enhance strategic research outcomes and provide practical solutions for researchers.
The authors of this poster include Melissa McKain (Director, Office of Research), Leonie Sherwin (Manager, Research Support, Library Services), Annmaree Jackson (Manager, Research Integrity and Ethics) and Tricia Kelly (Research Librarian, Health, Engineering & Sciences) from the University of Southern Queensland. Building on the strengths of the two teams, the authors have created strong networks enabling successful collaboration between the Office of Research and the Library to enhance strategic research outcomes and provide practical solutions for researchers.
