As surprisingly rapid changes, especially in the case of technology, progress, the need to adapt services and facilities to these changes seems inevitable for each and every organization so as to remain constant, compatible to real entails, active, and effective. With regards to vast implying of social media in almost entirely of all aspects of our life, the changes have relatively been seen as trends, mostly nationwide or even worldwide, from attention to Crypto-currencies to a single printed book and from a challenge on social media to playing an online game. Hence, many organizations, mainly financial ones, have already taken steps to be prepared for new trends and utterly see them differently as potential golden opportunities to flourish.
This study aims to introduce a conceptual framework for implying systematic trend management in libraries in order to propel library services to adjust to those trends for the best. The study is set to answer two substantial queries:
- How trends can be tracked, identified, assessed, scrutinized, and decrypted in order to be used?
- How trend management could be embedded in the libraries?
The survey uses constructive grounded theory methodology that is a place for data to be collected and analyzed comprehensively. Data collecting itself, consists a mixed of documentary method as well as qualitative in-depth interviews with a number of trend managers, trend experts, plus libraries policy makers and managers alike. At the end, a conceptual framework is set to be formed.
