Background
Don’t let unconscious bias deter prime candidates from applying to your roles! Understanding and adopting inclusive practices in your hiring process – from writing job descriptions to hosting interviews – will enable your organisation to draw from a wider pool of skills and talent, and build diverse teams that better represent the communities you serve.
Method
In this Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) session, we will discuss how to write position descriptions and format job interviews in more inclusive ways.
Results
Participants will have an opportunity to share experiences and a guidelines / recommendations document will be produced as a resource that participants can take to their organisations.
Conclusion
This BoF will provide a valuable opportunity to continue to grow and connect members of the WHPCAusNZ community, and to discuss actions to move the WHPC and eResearch field towards a more inclusive and equitable environment.
