Chris Schlipalius is the Team Lead and Senior Systems Administrator for Data Storage at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, with over 20 years of IT infrastructure experience in higher education and research. Based in Perth, Australia, Chris has a robust background in designing, procuring, commissioning, and managing storage and server hardware, filesystems, operating systems, and hypervisors. He leads a team of Storage and HSM Systems Administrators, ensuring that Pawsey provides and maintains essential Data Services for researchers. Pawsey's Research Data Services include dedicated RDS storage filesystems and the General Science HSM system, accessible via the Pawsey Data Portal.
