AWS and the RMIT RACE Hub

AWS and the RMIT RACE Hub invite you to a session designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) in the cloud. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in setting up and configuring HPC environments designed to show how research can be accelerated in minutes.

The workshop focuses on a range of common HPC domains including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), environmental science and social science applications, and how to get started without having to worry about the complex infrastructure normally required to achieve this.

By participating in this hands-on workshop, attendees will:

  • Hear from AWS HPC experts and RMIT’s dedicated research support team at RACE
  • Understand the fundamentals of HPC in the cloud
  • Gain practical experience deploying HPC clusters using various AWS HPC services
  • Learn techniques for seamless software installation for high-performance tasks
  • Submit research-oriented HPC jobs and visualise their outputs

Pre-requisites: Laptop and web browser.
