As our Birds of Feather session “Designing technical platforms for Research Data Commons services” has moved, this session will demonstrate the various technical components of a “Research Data Commons” and the ecosystem of services that makes up the analytics platform. Starting from our guiding principles we will show and discuss the major parts of the system, its goals, and extensive use of standards. This will be an informal session where we invite participants to ask questions as we go.
Biography:
Peter Sefton is an eResearch expert, specialising in software development, Research Data Management and metadata, currently leading the technology and infrastructure team for the Language Research Data Commons project at the University of Queensland.
