If you have previously struggled to get your data from point A to point B (or even to point C), Globus may be a service to help you get it their….fast.

Over 2021/22, AARNet along with many Australian Universities piloted Globus, a data transfer and management service. Through a series of exemplar community pilot proved the usefulness of the service in supporting large and complex data transfers across Australian and out to the world.

Globus is a high-end, data transfer and management service. It utilises available network to reliably and securely deliver large or complex data to where it is needed. Globus can be used to automate data transfers and it provides an interoperable interface to storage and infrastructure, deploying Globus can enable a standardised way to exchange data across Australian facilities.

AARNet has rolled Globus out as a Production service and within this presentation we will run you through what this product can do for you and your institute…..fast!

Ryan Fraser has had a career working with many amazing researchers, developers and analysts in multiple sectors delivering innovative solutions to support industry and research programs. Ryan currently has the privilege to continue his career at AARNet and support an amazing team delivering eInfrastructure for the Australian R&E sector.
