Quantum Computing via ObjectOriented Programming – Lightning Talk

Dr. Fanel Donea1

1CSIRO Scientific Computing, Melbourne, Australia

Biography:

Fanel Donea is a scientific software engineer in the CSIRO's Scientific Computing group. His current interests are quantum computing and computational modelling. In a previous life, he worked in astrophysics, and he obtained a PhD in Physics, studying accretion discs around black holes.

Abstract:

This quick talk presents an accessible way of starting out in quantum computing, while also illustrating a method to tackle quantum algorithms. Although there is no promise of a quick path, this should be of interested to anyone having basic object oriented programming skills and some mathematical knowledge.
