Abstract:

This poster reflects on, and describes, the Australian experience of working as a community towards achieving a Trusted Data Repository certification. The certification, called Core Trust Seal, is an international standard created by a Research Alliance working group, of researchers to promote sustainable and trustworthy data infrastructure for data sharing. Since 2019, a group of Australian data organisations have worked together to consider, analyse, and share queries, concerns and knowledge to work towards a CoreTrustSeal trust certification with the help of the ARDC. This poster outlines the benefits, challenges and learnings from the community process.
